Techscaler Catalyst returns for Autumn 2026
This Autumn, 100 early-stage founders are joining Techscaler's Catalyst programme, working through nine weeks of structured sessions and operator-led support designed to move their startups toward real commercial traction. Catalyst is one of the core programmes Techscaler, run by CodeBase on behalf of the Scottish Government, offers to founders.
A look at Catalyst
Across nine weeks, founders work through eight core workshops covering problem discovery, prototype building, customer validation and go-to-market strategy. Each session is hands on with founders leaving with something concrete to test before the next one starts, whether that's a prototype or a first pitch to a real customer.
By the end of the programme, founders will have defined their startup's ambition and vision, tested early assumptions through the Jobs-to-Be-Done framework, built a working prototype, found their first customers and used AI tools to make faster, better early-stage decisions.

The 2026 Autumn cohort
This year's 100 founders span AI, deep tech, health, industrial and consumer sectors, building everything from steam measurement software for distilleries to AI governance tools and wildfire preparedness planning. Most already have a working product and are focused on finding the right buyer, testing pricing and building repeatable sales. What Catalyst gives them is weekly accountability, direct challenge from experienced operators, and a route into Scotland's wider investor community.

Visiting Entrepreneurs
Behind every Catalyst cohort is a group of Visiting Entrepreneurs, operators who've built, scaled and exited their own companies, now putting that experience to work for this year's founders. Visiting Entrepreneurs are active participants throughout the nine-week programme, providing weekly accountability, offering advice ahead of pitches and meetings and introducing founders to their own networks.
Meet this year’s Visiting Entrepreneurs:
Georgina co-founded Una Tickets straight out of university, taking on ticket crime and hidden admin fees in live events. 16 months later Una Tickets caught the attention of Sky (FTSE 100) and was acquired by the company, handing investors a 7x return.
Since then, she's helped build the Milton Keynes Investors Group into the UK's largest not-for-profit angel network and now works as a Fractional CFO, helping startups get their finances, fundraising and cash flow in order without the cost of a full-time hire.
"Even as a serial entrepreneur, the content delivered is invaluable and highly practical," she says of her time with Catalyst. "It's been fantastic to speak to such a diverse range of businesses, and see the entrepreneurial spirit thriving in Scotland."
Michael is a technology entrepreneur with over 20 years' experience building and scaling technology services and SaaS businesses. He co-founded Waracle, a 280-person digital product company delivering platforms for global brands and regulated industries, and Kumulos, a mobile engagement SaaS platform that exited to Optimove in 2022.
He now works with founders at early and growth stages, helping them sharpen commercial focus, validate demand quickly and build businesses grounded in real customer need.
