Idea to Product: Using No and Low-Code to Build What Matters
Every founder starts with an idea. Many never reach the point where that idea becomes something tangible that others can use, test, and respond to. The gap between intent and execution is where many early ventures slow down, especially for non-technical founders navigating unfamiliar tools and languages.
In recent years, no and low-code platforms have begun to reshape that gap. Combined with advances in AI, they are changing what early product development looks like. What once required a full engineering team can now begin with a clear problem statement, curiosity, and the right guidance.
At CodeBase, we see this shift play out daily. Founders want to move from concept to prototype without losing momentum or control of their vision. They want to understand the tools shaping modern product development, while staying focused on the real challenge, which is solving a meaningful problem for real users.
That is what makes our upcoming webinar distinct. Delivered by Google customer engineers using Google AI Studio, and hosted by CodeBase, the session gives founders direct exposure to the platforms shaping modern product development. Rather than learning about AI tools at arm’s length, founders will hear from the teams working with them every day, bringing practical insight into how ideas can be translated into working products.
Building with AI, without the barriers
On Tuesday 27 January, CodeBase will host a live webinar in collaboration with Google Firebase, focused on helping early-stage and non-technical founders move from idea to product using practical AI and no-code tools.
The session will be hosted by Oli Littlejohn, VP of R&D at CodeBase, with technical delivery from Esther Lloyd, Customer Engineer at Google. Together, they will guide attendees through how modern AI tooling fits together across the early product lifecycle.
Founders can expect to learn how to:
- Prototype ideas quickly using Google AI Studio, experimenting with Gemini models, including Gemini 3.x, to iterate without writing code
- Take a prototype live by deploying it through Cloud Run, reducing friction between experimentation and real-world use
- Add essential product foundations using Firebase and Google Cloud Platform, including authentication and data persistence
- Push projects to GitHub, with AI-generated prompts that help explain source control concepts and generate a clear README
- Understand where Antigravity, Google’s new agentic development platform, fits as a next step for founders ready to go deeper
The emphasis throughout is on clarity and confidence. Rather than overwhelming founders with theory, the session focuses on showing how tools connect and how decisions made early on can support faster learning and better outcomes later.

Why this matters now
Early product work is about more than building something functional. It is about validating assumptions, and communicating intent to users and investors. A working prototype changes conversations. It gives founders a clearer way to explain value and direction, grounded in something real.
This webinar sits naturally within CodeBase’s wider mission to lower barriers for founders and strengthen startup ecosystems. Through programmes like our flagship Techscaler, we support founders across Scotland with education, mentorship, community, and access to expertise that helps them move forward with confidence. Practical skills and informed experimentation are central to that approach.
The session is designed for founders who want a fast, low-friction way to begin building with AI. It is live, interactive, and includes time for questions at the end. To maintain an open and practical environment, the event will not be recorded and is closed to press and government attendees.
If you are an early-stage or non-technical founder looking to turn an idea into something tangible, this webinar offers a clear place to start.
