What is it?
This month we’re taking Pitch Club to the pub for an informal and fun evening of pitch practice.
Pitch Club is a supportive and welcoming environment which gives you the opportunity to practise your pitching skills and gain confidence in talking about your business. We’re here to help from the ground up! Whether you’re simply talking about your business or idea at networking events, or you’re going to be pitching at a competition to capture the attention of investors. Let’s get confident about communication.
This will be a regular event and we’ll likely have a different focus or format for events.
For this event, the format will include:
Welcome and a reminder of house rules
Pitching game icebreaker
An opportunity for those who want to practise their pitches to do so and get feedback from the group
Time to network with each other.
What can I expect?
A supportive space to practise your pitching skills and gain confidence talking about your business in a range of settings. As a group, we’ll offer support, encouragement and give constructive feedback to help you improve.
Tickets are limited so the group size will be small.
We’ll buy the first round of drinks - whether you fancy a pint or a soft drink.
Tickets are limited, please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
Come prepared to ask questions, and join in with the other attendees and pitchers!
There are two ticket options for this event
Join us as a Pitcher - Pitch your idea to an audience of your peers and receive valuable feedback. Please come prepared with a 1, 3 or 5 minute pitch. We will ask you in the beginning what duration you would prefer.
or
Join us as an audience member - Listen, learn, and discuss the innovative ideas and projects of local entrepreneurs in the Scottish tech startup scene.
We will also have at least one Pitcher space reserved for signups on the day.
Tickets are limited, please cancel our ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
Where and when is this taking place?
This event will take place on 20th August from 5:30-7pm upstairs at the Rose Street Foundry, 96 Academy St, Inverness, IV1 1LU.
Who will be there?
Come and join members of the local tech community and from CodeBase: Mark Sutherland, Head of Highlands and Islands Regional Engagement, Norette Ferns, Highlands & Islands Community Manager and Alice Prentice, Events Support.
