Eilidh Mutch, Founder of Your Spin
Eilidh Mutch is the founder of Your Spin Limited, a data-driven tech platform revolutionising customer loyalty and engagement in the hospitality sector through gamification and instant gratification. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 2021 with a first-class degree in Business Management and drew inspiration from her firsthand experience in the hospitality industry. Recognising the outdated nature of traditional rewards systems, she developed Your Spin, an in-venue activation game that allows customers & staff to win exciting prizes after placing an order and scanning a code.
This innovative approach not only increases repeat business and enhances customer experience but also provides brands with real-time data insights at the point of purchase. Your Spin has already secured partnerships with major brands like Heineken and BrewDog, helping businesses foster stronger relationships with their customers.
Eilidh’s entrepreneurial journey has been supported by programmes such as Techscaler’s Next Steps course, and she was selected for the first Techscaler Silicon Valley cohort in February 2024. Her achievements were further recognised when Your Spin won a Scottish EDGE Award in November 2024, solidifying its impact on the industry.

In this episode, we delve deep into the inspiring and transformative journey of Eilidh Mutch, the visionary founder of Your Spin. Eilidh‘s story is one of remarkable transformation and innovation, tracing her path from her formative university days to her emergence as a trailblazer in the hospitality industry. Her success is largely attributed to her innovative approach of harnessing the power of gamification, aiming to rejuvenate the pub experience in a post-COVID world, re-engaging consumers, and enhancing their social interactions in meaningful ways.
Eilidh candidly shares her path to success, offering insights into how her hands-on experience in the hospitality sector allowed her to identify untapped opportunities for engaging patrons more effectively. She discovered new ways to gather valuable consumer data for drink brands, which had previously been overlooked by many in the industry. Despite facing initial resistance from the more traditional segments of the hospitality industry, Eilidh persevered, overcoming these challenges through persistence and creative strategies. One of her key strategies involved partnering with major brands, leveraging their influence to offer enticing incentives that drew consumers back to the social spaces they had missed.
