The second Edinburgh Data Science and AI talks meetup will be on Wednesday September 11th, from 5.30pm at the CodeBase on Castle Terrace.
This event is generously sponsored by Weaviate, the AI-native vector database.
Our main speaker will be JP Hwang, developer educator at Weaviate and Edinburgh local. He will give a talk "What's inside a vector database?", and will be guiding us through the internals of vector databases, and how they can help you to build better generative-AI applications.
We will also hear about how Machine Learning is applied to drug discovery from Rohan Gorantla, a PhD student in Molecular Biology at the University of Edinburgh
Schedule:
5.30pm - 6.30pm - Networking with pizza and drinks
6.30pm - 7:45pm - Talks with Q&A
8pm onwards - Continued networking
Please RSVP so we have an idea of numbers for pizza.
CodeBase is an accessible venue, if you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch, or see more information here.
