Session 2
Understanding Markets - Danae Shell
Danae is a native Tennesseean who has worked in the Scottish tech industry for the past 16 years. She’s a developer-turned-marketer with scale-up experience from companies like FreeAgent, Moody's Analytics, and most recently Care Sourcer where she was CMO. She is now co-founder and CEO of Valla, a new startup that helps people use their legal rights, and is a member of the Board at Creative Edinburgh.
What it’s about: Great businesses are only great if enough people are willing to buy your product. The first step in any great startup is to sit down and think about the market size.
What to expect: Part talk, part workshop. We’ll discuss how to calculate your market size, and you’ll conduct a market analysis of your group business during the session.
Creative Bridge is an accelerator programme with a difference. Running over ten consecutive weeks it is designed for creatives from all backgrounds to learn start-up best practice and hear entrepreneurs’ stories of how they made something amazing happen, or how they failed. Participants will gain valuable insights into both what defines success for them and how to get there.
Creative Bridge runs every quarter until the end of 2021, and is funded by Creative Informatics.
