Hi! We're going to be running a series of meetups in 2020 that are all about bringing together the tech community and learning best practice in building startups.
In our February meetup, we’ll be taking a look at inclusion as a startup's superpower: how to attract, retain, and promote a diverse range of employees and their positive impact on your organisation.
What does “inclusion” mean? What do underrepresented groups expect when they hear it? How do tech companies can create an environment in which “inclusion” isn’t just a buzzword, but a day-to-day reality for all their teams?
Our keynote speaker is Pheona Matovu, Co-founder & Director of Radiant and Brighter, a social enterprise that aims to bridge the gap between the needs of the growing BME refugee and migrant communities and existing support provision in Scotland.
Pheona's keynote talk will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by Jessica Armstrong, a Business Development & Project Manager who works with individuals, projects and businesses to identify their goals and achieve positive outcomes and impact. Jessica will be joined on stage by panel participants:
Pheona Matovu, Co-founder & Director of Radiant and Brighter
Athina Frantzana PhD, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in STEM Specialist-Researcher
Ali King Founder, Queer Code Scotland
