NoCode Workshop with Oli Littlejohn

  • Abertay cyberQuarter 1-3 Bell Street Dundee, DD1 1LH (map)

What is it?

This will be an introduction to the world of NoCode: what it is, the tools available, and how it can be used to build digital products. Oli Littlejohn will share some of his insights on NoCode and then lead a workshop session where you can build your own NoCode product with him.

Oli Littlejohn is VP of Research and Development at CodeBase and is a NoCode enthusiast who loves helping non-technical founders build software startups.

Oli has had a diverse career within CodeBase: handling community, partnership, and program roles before moving to Stacker. Stacker, a software platform backed by Y Combinator, aims to empower everyone to create software, regardless of coding ability. Oli has since returned to CodeBase, now serving as VP of R&D and running the Edinburgh NoCode meetup.

What is NoCode?

'No-code is a term used to describe a method of creating software, such as websites and apps, using visual drag-and-drop interfaces instead of code. In other words, no-code allows anyone, regardless of their technical ability, to build on the internet.'

- Makerpad's introduction to NoCode.

What can I expect?

Oli will share his insights on NoCode: what it is, how to get started, what you can achieve, and who can benefit from it. Following his talk, you'll dive into using NoCode tools to build a basic product.

If you have your own laptop, please bring it to the event so you can take part in the workshop.

We'll have time for networking with other attendees and CodeBase staff at the beginning and end of the session, with drinks and snacks available throughout.

Where and when is this taking place?

This event will run 18:00 - 20:00 on Thursday 29th of August on the first floor of the Abertay cyberQuarter.

The cyberQuarter is located on 1-3 Bell Street, Dundee, DD1 1LH. A member of staff will be there to greet you at the ground floor entrance, next to Annie's Cafe.
