About this event

You want to hook investors and secure funding, right? In this presentation, you'll learn how to introduce your product or service to investors in a way that captures their attention from the get go and helps your investors understand why your idea is the one worth investment.

This workshop will allow participants to develop and practice their pitching skills in an informal and collaborative setting. You will leave this workshop feeling pitch ready.

Agenda

1:30pm - Welcome and introductions. Who are CodeBase and what do we do.

1:40pm - Pitching icebreaker. We'll have a fun pitching game to start us off!

1:55pm - Pitches: the Who, What and Why. We’ll be looking at who pitches are for, what you need to cover in them and why you need one.

2:15pm - Write your pitch. Get creative and start writing your pitch.

2:45pm - Comfort Break

2:55pm - Pitch it to me. An exercise to practice your pitches in pairs and find out if your message is landing right.

3:15pm - Feedback and pitch to the room. A round up of the day and the opportunity for anyone to come up and do their pitch again for the room.

3:30pm - Close

Open to third sector organisations across Dumfries and Galloway.

Registration

We ask everyone to sign up individually so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend and can make a note of your accessibility and dietary requirements. We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!
