  • Eagle Labs; Beco Building 58 Kingston Street Glasgow, Scotland, G5 8BP United Kingdom (map)

Join m3Networks at the home of CodeBase Glasgow for our Cyber Security Lunch & Learn Event in June

About this event

CodeBase Glasgow is pleased to be partnering with m3 Networks to deliver a Lunch and Learn to the ecosystem to tackle some common misconceptions about cyber security.

What is the event?

Confused by cyber? Not sure how secure your business is? Struggling to sleep at night?

Relax. We've got you.

We get that cyber is one of the hottest buzzwords in technology right now. But what does it even mean? How do you know how good (or bad) your security is? And how do you even get started?

In little over 2 hours, you'll get the '101' on cyber security courtesy of or co-hosts, M3 Networks. You'll leave feeling empowered to be able to have a proper conversation about cyber with your IT provider, and with others in your business.

You'll learn about the common myths around cyber - which are often the main blockers preventing business from taking security seriously.

You'll also be introduced to the UK Government's Cyber Essentials scheme - often the first step on the way to a safe, more resilient business.

And who will become the reigning champion in our Password Quiz?

Our goal is to help you get started on your cyber journey to a safer, better protected business..

Who will be there? Who is this event for?

If you are a founder, or the person responsible for managing the relationship with your IT support provider, you should definitely come to this event. This event is best suited for teams interested in learning the basics of why cyber security is essential for a business, and would be relevant to cyber security course students, recent cyber security graduates and non-technical team members who would like to learn together and share best practice and challenges together.

The session will be led by Ben McKillop and Mark Riddell from m3Networks, and you'll also meet with members of the CodeBase team for Glasgow and the West.
