The cyberQuarter, Techscaler, and EQ Accountants invites invite you to join us for a “Commercialising Tech Innovation” event which is taking place at the cyberQuarter. The aim of this event is to expose our staff, students, graduate network, and our ever-growing Tech community to opportunities that will allow them to commercialise tech research, products, or services.

Who will be at this event?
• Lara Findlay – Techscaler.
As Head of regional engagement for CodeBase in Dundee and Tayside, Lara supports the local tech community, specifically via the provision of the Techscaler Programme throughout the region. Lara has over 10 years of experience in working with startups. Having founded a tech-for-good app and web development company in 2013, Lara has a wealth of experience, including bootstrapping, hiring, and nurturing a successful team. Throughout her career, Lara has worked with hundreds of organisations to help them develop digital solutions that make a difference and is passionate about driving impact and diversity in tech.
• Finlay - EQ Accountants.
Finlay is a Supervisor in EQ’s Dundee office, where his client portfolio spans a variety of sectors, including Manufacturing, Renewables and Technology. Having worked in Practice since he was 16, Finlay delivers added value to his clients through his business advisory and audit work.
• Sam – EQ Accountants
Sam is a qualified CA based in EQ’s Dundee office. Sam supports a number of clients with accounts, tax and compliance work across a variety of sectors, including Technology, Engineering and Renewables.
• Simon Fraser – Bell Street Ventures.
Simon Fraser is the Enterprise Officer at Abertay University, and he LOVES to help people think about their business ideas. He worked with Elevator for more than seven years, helping people from all walks of life to start and grow their companies, and joined Abertay in January 2019.
• Greg Summers
Greg leads businesses and individuals to sales success through a focused understanding of the specific stages of the sales process.
