This group is for people to discuss issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community and creating queer-inclusive spaces. Open to everyone.
What is it?
Our LGBTQ+ Meetup has been created as a space for LGBTQ+ people and allies working in the Scottish Tech Ecosystem to meet and discuss how we can make our spaces more inclusive to queer individuals.
What can I expect?
The theme for this month is TBC.

Where and when is this taking place?
This meetup will take place from 12.30-1.30pm on Thursday 28st September at CodeBase Edinburgh, 37a Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EL. We will be in Bruntsfield Links - for those not based in CodeBase Edinburgh, please meet at reception and someone will show you through to the room. There is also the option to join online.
Who will be there?
The event is open to everyone who is keen to discuss creating queer inclusive spaces.
The event is organised and facilitated by Sarah (they/her), Events & Digitals Coordinator, CodeBase.
Registration
If you are joining in person:
We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend, this will allow us to prevent food waste by avoiding over-catering. Please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!
We also encourage everyone to sign up individually so we know of any accessibility requirements in advance.

If you are joining online:
Once you have registered to attend you will receive confirmation of your ticket. You will receive an email reminder prior to the event starting: it includes the link to join the event. At any point, you can also access the link to join via the dedicated Eventbrite Online Page linked to your ticket.
