What is it?
A chance to welcome the new CodeClan graduates to the community and scope out the next generation of talent - and maybe even your next hire?
What can I expect?
Project Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet some of the job seeking CodeClan graduates, see their project presentations, and learn more about what they can offer the industry. Students are given a two week period to build a project that consolidates their learnings from the CodeClan course. In their presentations they will show off their new technical skills as well as discuss the challenges of building projects but also highlight what they enjoyed the most. After each project presentation, there will be a Q&A which is your chance to help the graduates hone their pitches and develop their ideas.
Expect the below Project topics -
A bin day checker/notification service (http://www.binday.info/)
A LGBTQIA+ community app (user/community verified businesses)
A ghost hunting app (think pokemon)
Battleships game (Classic and timely game development!)
A penguin/starwars/startrek game (multiplayer game development)
A camper tracking app (track verified camping community amenities)
Project Showcase events offer a unique platform to meet the graduates, particularly if you are looking to recruit, as well as understand what enthused the graduates and explore their technical aptitude after just a few short months!
There will be drinks & snacks available throughout and the event will end with networking.
Where and when is this taking place?
This event will take place from 6-8pm on Wednesday 8th November 2023 at CodeClan, 37 Castle Terrace, EH1 2EL.

The event is open to everyone.
Registration
We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend, this will allow us to prevent food waste by avoiding over-catering. Please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!
We also encourage everyone to sign up individually so we know of any accessibility requirements in advance.
