A roundtable celebrating the contribution of black founders

About this event

This Black History Month, CodeBase and Techscaler are delighted to be celebrating the contribution of black founders, as part of a round table discussion in partnership with Radiant and Brighter.

Immigration has been the subject of scrutiny and public discourse in the UK, however this debate has often neglected to consider the economic, social and cultural contributions made by immigrant-led SMEs. We are thrilled to be joined by guest speaker, Tynah Matembe, founder of MoneymatiX who will join us as we explore how Scotland’s ecosystem could progress inclusivity of the untapped skills, talent and innovation within BIPOC communities.

Whether you are a budding or seasoned entrepreneur, we would like to invite you to join us and look forward to welcoming you.

About Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company

Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company was set up to unlock potential within racialised communities and the migrant population in Scotland ensuring ‘New Scots’ are better able to use their talents and skills, in order to contribute economically and socially. The company offers a proven and successful suite of services in antiracism, intercultural competence and ethnicity supporting businesses and organisations to better understand and address systemic barriers to equity. Crucially, based on years of lived experience and work with minoritised communities, programs are designed to support organisations to understand what they need to put in place in order to deliver enhanced customer and staff experience for those in their workspaces and communities. Radiant and Brighter is partnering with CodeBase to develop an antiracism approach.
